This March, RipplAffect is returning to the Philippines for a major clean water initiative—and you are invited to be part of this life-changing mission.

In collaboration with It Is Written, the RipplAffect Water Team will travel to Baguio, Benguet, Philippines, to provide vital access to safe drinking water, health education, and encouragement to communities where waterborne illness remains a daily threat. Through the distribution of more than 2,000 life-saving water filtration systems, this mission will bring both physical relief and spiritual hope to thousands.

Mission Focus

• Distribution of 500 RipplAffect long-lasting water filters throughout Baguio and Benguet
• Health and hygiene education and community outreach
• Ministry and encouragement through partnership with local churches and leaders
• Sharing God’s love in practical and meaningful ways

Each water filter can provide up to one million gallons of safe drinking water and serve a family for years—helping break the cycle of waterborne disease and poverty.

Extended Outreach in Manila

Following the main mission with It Is Written, the RipplAffect team will continue outreach during the final days of the trip with our long-standing Philippine partner, Project Propel, operating out of Manila.

Together, we will begin the first phase of a 1,500-filter distribution, expanding this major initiative and reaching even more families with clean, safe water and renewed hope.

“In January 2026, RipplAffect distributed 700 water filters in multiple villages in Andhra Pradesh, India. The people gathered at the village churches to greet us with enthusiasm and fresh coconut water. They decorated us with shawls as a welcoming embrace, followed by garlands of fresh flowers.

Some of the villages had a town water pump or other communal water source. Some had running water in their houses, but it was not purified. Everyone was impressed by how clear the water was when it came through the filters. At each village people eagerly crowded around the practice stations so they could try filtering water and cleaning the filters.

Volunteer translators assisted RipplAffect team members to gather data about recipients and their families. Sometimes it was hard to hear over the joyful hubbub of happy people anticipating their own filters. Everyone had huge smiles for the group photos displaying their new buckets and filters.

Filters were also distributed to patients who had cataract surgery at Ponnamanda. One of those patients runs a coffee shop. He proudly stated he will use filtered water for his customers.”

RipplAffect Collaboration with Eyes for India Dr. Jacob Prabhakar was truly life changing:

One of the most moving moments of this mission was meeting the cataract surgery patients in Ponnamanda. Many of them had lived in partial or complete blindness, and just one day after surgery they opened their eyes to a world they could see clearly again. Their faces radiated amazement and gratitude as they carefully took in the sight of loved ones, light, and color—some for the first time in years. To then place a RipplAffect water filter into their hands was deeply meaningful. Clean water will now help protect their healing eyes and support stronger recovery, reducing the risk of infection and illness after surgery.

Their joy was contagious. With restored sight and now access to safe, clean drinking water, they expressed excitement for a healthier future and renewed independence. These moments remind us that clean water is not just a basic necessity—it is a foundation for healing, dignity, and hope.

Because of faithful supporters and partners, hundreds of families and recovering patients are now drinking safely, regaining strength, and stepping into a brighter future. Together, we are seeing lives transformed—one filter, one family, one village at a time.

In partnership with Eyes for India and Dr. Jacob Prabhakar, lives were changed—including one man who regained his sight in one eye after 20 years, and now uses his free water filter for his family and to also bless his customers. This is ripple effect. This is impact. This is hope in action.

RipplAffect is still raising funds that helped to deliver 700 life-saving water filtration systems to families in Razole region, Andhra Pradesh, India, where access to clean, safe drinking water remains a daily challenge.

At the end of January, a small RipplAffect team led by RipplAffect Founder and Executive Director Narcisa Mikov and RipplAffect Board Chair Dr. Shelley Perez Chang traveled to South India to personally distribute these filters, ensuring they reach families who need them most. We continue to raise remaining funds to fully fund our India Humanitarian Initiative that provides life-saving water filtration systems bringing long-term health and dignity to entire communities.

This project is carried out in close collaboration with Eyes for India, working alongside Dr. Jacob Prabhakar, who with his team provides hundreds of critical cataract eye surgeries daily, medical care, and community outreach throughout India (check video below) and world. By integrating clean water solutions with healthcare, we are addressing both immediate medical needs and the root causes of preventable illness. Clean water strengthens healing, protects children, and opens doors for continued care and meaningful community relationships.

During our visit, we also stopped at 14 local churches, all of which suffered significant structural damage—most with roofs completely torn off, and several experiencing total church collapse. Yet, in the midst of destruction, we saw communities filled with resilience, faith, and gratitude.

These filtration systems are already making a life-saving difference for families recovering from the storm. We warmly thank each of you who donated to this project and helped bring clean water and hope to the people of Jamaica.

Thanks to generous donors, $7,500 has already been raised as matching funds, and we need to raise the remaining $7,500 within the next few days so our small team can hand-carry filters directly to the affected areas. Additional filters will also be sent in collaboration with the Florida Conference of SDA Church and AdventHealth, ensuring aid reaches communities in greatest need. A Year of Blessings and Growth

In 2025, God has greatly blessed the work of RipplAffect through multiple new partnerships and expanding projects around the world.

Our Fall Fundraiser goal is $60,000, enabling us to continue and expand these life-changing initiatives in 2026. We are deeply grateful that $25,000 has already been pledged, and with your help, the remaining $35,000 will allow us to impact thousands more lives.

Partnerships and Projects Expanding Globally

This year has been especially exciting as RipplAffect established an ongoing collaboration with It Is Written Ministry and completed major projects in Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic this spring.

Ethiopia is now being set up as a continuing mission field, with sending additional filters soon — reaching a total of 1,500 filtration systems distributed in 2025.

Looking ahead, RipplAffect will join It Is Written and Eyes for India Ministry for a mission trip to India early next year while continuing with planned distributions in the Philippines, Guatemala, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.

Current and Upcoming Projects 

These initiatives are a testament to God’s providence, and most will continue next year:

• Thailand: 50 filtration systems distributed in September
• Ghana: 1,000-filter project distribution just completed
• Kenya: 250 filters scheduled for November (Masai Mara region)
• Pakistan: 900 filters being prepared for release
• Nepal: 100 filters ready to distribute
• Philippines: Final phase of 1,000-filter project concluding by December

At this year’s Pathfinders Kids Week during the last week of August in Ptuj, Slovenia, the children took on a special project with hearts full of compassion. They organized and hosted a fundraiser event to support latest RipplAffect’s Ghana Initiative, raising awareness and resources to bring clean, safe water to families in need. Their music and dedication became a beautiful expression of service, showing that young people can make a lasting difference in the lives of others while RipplAffect representative demonstrated the effectiveness of filters that are being used to turn dirty water into clean drinking water.

Through their efforts, the Pathfinders not only raised funds but also inspired their peers, leaders, and the wider community to take action. Their project is a powerful reminder that when children put their faith into action, their impact reaches far beyond what we might expect—spreading hope from Slovenia all the way to Ghana.

To complete the Ghana Initiative, we are hoping to raise the final funds needed to cover the remaining project costs. Your support will help ensure that all 1,000 families ( 6,000-9,000 people) receive the gift of clean, safe water.

In 2025, RipplAffect is deepening its ongoing partnership with Mission Driven Purpose, a trusted non-profit, to bring clean, safe drinking water to rural communities in need. Building on previous successful collaborations, this year’s initiative will distribute again 1,000 high-quality water filtration systems, reaching thousands of individuals across multiple villages. These filters will help protect families—especially children—from waterborne illnesses and provide them with a foundation for better health and well-being.

Each filtration system provided can serve a household of up to 10 people for more than a decade, offering a long-term, sustainable solution to one of Ghana’s most urgent health challenges.Along with technical training, hygiene education, and spiritual encouragement, this initiative is helping to transform lives physically and spiritually. With improved health and restored dignity, communities will gain access to a better future—one filter, one family, and one village at a time.
