Jamaica Disaster Relief Update

Jamaica Slider 2025 RipplAffect Narcisa

A small RipplAffect team recently returned from Jamaica after distributing 500 water filtration systems in just three days. We witnessed firsthand the severe devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, especially in the Ground Zero area of Black River, St. Elizabeth, RipplAffect Jamaica 2025-12as well as in remote mountainous regions where access to clean, safe water remains extremely difficult. Many families are without running water or electricity, and full restoration will take a long time.

During our visit, we also stopped at 14 local churches, all of which suffered significant structural damage—most with roofs completely torn off, and several experiencing total church collapse. Yet, in the midst of destruction, we saw communities filled with resilience, faith, and gratitude.

These filtration systems are already making a life-saving difference for families recovering from the storm. We warmly thank each of you who donated to this project and helped bring clean water and hope to the people of Jamaica.
