Nepal Emergency Flood Relief – Help Us Send 1,000 Water Filters

Our Partner Project Propel team on the ground is ready to act and distribute in the devastation area.

Our goal is urgent: raise $18,000 to send 1,000 life-saving water filtration systems to families affected by this week’s devastating floods in Nepal.

On August 26, 2026, catastrophic flash floods swept through northern and central Nepal, causing enormous loss of life, widespread displacement, and severe destruction of homes, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities, and other critical infrastructure. The Government of Nepal reports that the Bhote Koshi River flood severely affected communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Gorkha districts, with search, rescue, evacuation, and emergency relief operations still underway.

Initial scientific assessments indicate that an ice-rock avalanche in the Himalayan border region blocked the Lhende Khola River, creating a temporary debris-dammed lake before a massive surge of water rushed downstream through the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river systems. Entire communities and critical infrastructure were caught in the path of the flood.

In the aftermath of a disaster of this magnitude, access to clean, safe drinking water becomes an immediate and life-saving need. Floodwater can contaminate wells, springs, municipal systems, and other local water sources at the very time families need safe water most.

Nepal 2026-01-13bRipplAffect is launching an Emergency Natural Disaster Fundraiser with a goal of raising $18,000 to send 1,000 water filtration systems to Nepal as quickly as possible  ( 100 already covered). Our Partner Project Propel team on the ground is ready to act and distribute in the devastation area.

These filtration systems can give families the ability to turn available water into clean, safe drinking water while communities recover and damaged water infrastructure is restored. Our goal is not simply to provide bottled water for a few days, but to place a sustainable clean-water solution directly into the hands of families living through this emergency.

Why We Need to Act Quickly

The disaster is still unfolding. Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on August 28 that the floods caused extensive destruction and displacement and that search, rescue, evacuation, medical assistance, and relief operations are continuing. The government is also closely monitoring the risk of additional flooding downstream.

For families who have lost homes, roads, electricity, and access to normal water systems, having a reliable way to produce safe drinking water can make an immediate difference.

RipplAffect is working to move these 1,000 filtration systems to Nepal as soon as funding and humanitarian shipment arrangements are secured.

Please donate today and help us reach $18,000 NOW!

Together, we can place clean water directly into the hands of families when they need it most.

Share this emergency appeal with your family, church, friends, workplace, and community.

Every filter matters. Every family matters. Every gift can help save lives.
